about

Originally a one-man-band project, The Liar Script officially came together in 2010 inspired by the (primarily British) post- ... more punk movement of the late 70s and early 80s. Based in San Francisco, CA, the band combines elements of the genre with a more modern, almost noir sound, taking influence also from film and literature. The atmosphere is dark, with themes related to the trials of city life. less

Track Name: Someone Else's Victory
I'm running out of all my reasons
(I let it slip away)
To hold onto this sense of calm
(I let it slip away)
There's no starting over again
(I let it slip away)
No matter what I do
I pushed away all friendship
(I let it slip away)
And stopped forcing circumstance
(I let it slip away)
Waited too long to reach this point
(I let it slip away)
Now I'm running out of time

I failed to reach my younger days' goal
(I let it slip away)
Lost the nerve to keep taking these risks
(I let it slip away)
Hesitate, your moment passes
(I let it slip away)
And all that could have been
I pushed away all friendship
(I let it slip away)
And stopped forcing circumstance
(I let it slip away)
Waited too long to reach this point
(I let it slip away)
Now I'm running out of time

I'm running out of time
I'm running out of time
I'm running out of time
I'm running out of time

I watched all those others as they each passed by
And not a single one of them can say I didn't try
For some, dreams would stay too far out of reach
And we're left here standing on the beach
Envying those who swim

Not all nostalgia's what it seems
Not all nostalgia's what it seems
Not all nostalgia's what it seems
Not all nostalgia's what it seems
